Shea Butter (butyrosperum parkii) - African healers have used Shea butter for thousands of years as the ideal treatment for dry or aging skin. Shea Butter forms a breathable, water-resistant film. Shea butter, derived from the Karite Tree, is extremely therapeutic; helping to heal cracked, aged and damaged skin. Its chemical constituents help to heal bruising and soreness. Shea butter penetrates the skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth.
Green Tea ( camellia sinensis) - Is harvested from the upper leaves of the plant and is native to the Asian countries. For centuries green tea has been known for its anti-aging effects, excellent antioxidant capacity and its overall health benefits. Antioxidants help in alleviating dry or oily skin by bringing the skin's natural moisture content back into balance. Green tea, using its antioxidant properties, helps to protect the skin from free radical damage and aid in the healing of previously damaged skin.
Juniper Essential Oil (juniperus communis) - This oil is mildly stimulating as well as exfoliating and helps relieve itching and has a fresh, stimulating pine scent.
Lemongrass Essential Oil (cymbopogon schoenanthus) - Used to relieve skin problems, sore throats and respiratory problems. This essential oil has a wonderfully fresh, sweet, warm and woodsy scent that is uplifting, stimulating, yet calming when inhaled. In skin care preparations, it is astringent and tonic, opening up pores and controlling excess oil. It is mildly deodorizing and disinfecting, and has antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti fungal properties.
Sweet Orange Essential Oil (citrus sinensis) - A “skin rejuvenator”. The aroma of Sweet Orange essential oil is gently calming and uplifting when inhaled. For skin, it is anti-bacterial, astringent, cleansing and toning.
