Salicylic Acid - This ingredient aids in dissolving the top layer of the stratum corneum by virtue of its keratolytic nature, or exfoliation. Salicylic Acid is derived from the bark of sweet birch and the leaves of wintergreen. It is also known for its antiseptic qualities and is acceptable for use on most skin types, except those allergic to “aspirin” or extremely dry or extra sensitive skin.
Mallow Extract (malva sylvestris) - This herbal extract is derived from the leaves and flowers of the Malva plant. It is highly anti-inflammatory. It has been used for centuries to treat wound healing. When in contact with water, the extract swells and forms a healing gel.
Tocopheryl Acetate - An antioxidant found in vegetable oils and other herbal essential oils. Also known as Vitamin E, this wonderful vitamin, when applied topically, is easily absorbed into the skin.
