Active Ingredients:
Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice - Many people have experienced the healing powers of the Aloe Vera plant when applied topically to a cut or burn. Research shows us there are five natural occurring anti-inflammatory agents that exist along with growth factors located in the plant. They work together quickly to relieve pain sensations, reverse scarring and speed healing. There are around 400 species of Aloe, but it is the Aloe Barbadensis Miller (Aloe Vera or "true aloe") plant that has been of most use to mankind because of the medicinal properties it displays.
Sweet Almond Oil - Acts as an emollient, and will soften, soothe and re-condition dried-out winter skin. It will relieve the itching that comes with dried skin. Our sweet almond oil is cold pressed from 100% pure almond nuts and then gently refined. This high quality nut oil is a great emollient for softening and conditioning the skin and hair. It is well suited for eczema, psoriasis and itchy, dry and inflamed skin. It is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. Sweet almond oil is light and penetrates easily, making it a great aromatherapy carrier oil, massage oil or after bath oil.
Allantoin - A healing, moisturizing, soothing and anti-irritating, keratolytic and non-toxic agent useful in dermatological, cosmetic and veterinary preparation. Allantoin is a valuable cell-proliferating healing agent which stimulates healthy tissue formation. The soothing and healing constituent in comfrey root, allantoin is valued for use in creams and lotions for these properties. A white, odorless, crystalline powder, soluble in water and alcohol. Nontoxic, nonirritating and nonallergenic. It has been called a counter irritant that helps alleviate the irritating effects of soap, surfactants, oils, acidic and alkaline ingredients. Allantoin works by hastening the healing processes of the body, helping the skin to help itself.
Arnica Montana - Arnica Montana is an herb which grows wild in the Swiss Alps and has been used as a part of European herbal medicine for over a thousand years for the reduction of bruising and swelling and to shorten the recovery period after physical trauma. Used in skincare preparations to reduce redness and help speed healing after peels, breakouts and other procedures.
Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit E) - Antioxidants like vitamin E work to neutralize free radicals and stabilize cell membranes by providing the electrons needed to complete the unstable cell. Vital skin cells need to be protected by antioxidants. This is why the incorporation of antioxidants like vitamin E into skin care products is so important. Vitamin E skin care products are an essential part of a daily healthy skin regimen. Topical vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol or mixed tocopherols) has been shown to have a wide variety of skin benefits. Many studies have shown that vitamin E can help decrease the effects of psoriasis, erythema, and may help in reducing the risk of skin cancer. Vitamin E has also been shown to significantly help in the reduction of scaring from wounds and has been shown to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks on the skin.
Vitamin A Palmitate - (retinyl palmitate, all-trans-retinyl palmitate) is known to normalize skin. Retinyl palmitate accounts for about 80% of the vitamin A found in the skin. The advantages of using the milder forms of vitamin A on the skin are that they are converted into retinoic acid in the cells and effectively give similar results to those seen with retinoic acid. It will help to keep skin stay soft and plump. Clinical results have shown that vitamin A palmitate increased significantly skin composition to increase collagen, DNA, skin thickness, and elasticity. Vitamin A palmitate's stability is superior to retinol. Topical application of retinyl palmitate is the most sensible way for loading the skin with retinol (vitamin A). Cosmetic products containing retinyl palmitate are also more effective than those containing retinol. Furthermore, retinyl palmitate readily penetrates into the epidermis and dermis.
